The War Memorial was refurbished and rededicated in 2012 by Anthony Rothschild. A history of it was compiled by Vic Sirett who was instrumental in getting the work completed, though that in itself would probably make a good book! Vic is sadly no longer with us but his memory will go on because of the Memorial, as well as other groups he was associated with.
Captain Daniells is mentioned in this, he was the Captain of the 12th West Yorks. Their stay must have made quite an impact for the 12th.
